These high quality wire guardians are used to protect wire (and thread) from wear by rubbing on clasps, split rings and jump rings.
Silver filled wire guardian (also known as Wire Protectors or Cable Thimbles) findings reduce abrasion from clasps and other sharp-edged components. Use Wire Guardian Findings in the same way you use Gimp between the crimp bead and the clasp; the only difference is Wire Guardian findings are rigid.
Silver Filled Findings are made of environmental brass and do not tarnish very easily and are the next best and much cheaper alternative to real 925 silver findings.
